Classe Petit is the place for art lovers, hobby artists and budding painters looking to grow, share and explore their love for art.
People are always looking for a sense of connection. Whether it’s to another human being; to their inner self; to a skill that they can develop, or a hobby that brings them joy.
Classe Petit started out as a place for me to share my love for modern art. I’m watching it slowly evolve into something bigger, a place for the community to be a little playful, expressive, and to discover what creativity means to them.
I’m excited that more people are painting, drawing, and allowing themselves to be free – it takes a lot of courage. Classe Petit will always be here to provide a safe space for courageous exploration and unbridled curiosity.

Our approach
1. Play
The first thing we want people to experience is some fun. So we encourage everyone to be playful by making our classes non-instructional (no, we don’t do step by step), and adopting an open studio approach instead.
2. Express
We’re all storytellers whether we realise it or not. Every painting is a chance to tell a story, however trivial or profound, and Classe Petit celebrates each personal narrative that emerges.
3. Interact
At Classe Petit we don’t just make art and look at it; we talk about it. Putting words to our thoughts only reinforces our learning - plus it’s a good way to make a new friend. It’s about taking away more than just a painting, that is, a new way of seeing the world.
4. Wonder
Not forgetting the magic that draws us to art in the first place! An appreciation of art made by ourselves, our loved ones and those we’ve just met. We never forget to stop to smell the roses.
